Central Florida BizTalk User Group is an independent, non-commercial user group focused on Microsoft’s BizTalk 2006 R2 and related technologies such as RFID, SOA, Windows Communication Foundation, and other divisions of connected systems. Targeted audience includes technologists at all levels including developers, architects, users, and decision makers. The user group will hold meetings on alternate months delivered by technology experts in the field. Meetings will be located at the Tampa Microsoft Gulf States Office at 5426 Bay Center Dr Suite 700 Tampa, FL 33609. Future meetings may also be held in Orlando, FL. From the hardcore BizTalk guru to the “how can BizTalk help me” user - this user community is right for you.

Attendance
We had about 20 people show up! It was great to meet some really great folks who were interested in BizTalk R2 Technology.

Speakers
Shawn Cutter and Stan Kennedy delivered the presentation on an overview of BizTalk components and other connected systems such as SOA and WCF.

- November 20th: Joe Healy will be hosting our joint meeting with the Tampa Bay International Association of Software Architects (IASA). Danny Del Rio will be giving a two hour session on BizTalk architecture.
1st topic: Enterprise Application Integration (EAI) using BizTalk Server 2006R2
2nd topic: Implementing and consuming SOA services with BizTalk Server 2006R2

- December 17th 2008: 6:30 p.m. located at the new Tampa Microsoft Gulf States Office at 5426 Bay Center Dr Suite 700 Tampa, FL 33609. Shawn Cutter will be giving a presentation and demo on the BizTalk HL7 Accelerator.  HL7 is the leading healthcare industry standard protocol for transmitting information.  The BizTalk Accelerator for HL7 extends the capabilities of BizTalk 2006 R2 for health care providers by delivering a comprehensive solution that enables the sharing of patient information within and between healthcare organizations.
