Recent Events:

May User Group Meeting: May 14th
Our meeting showcased best practices for BizTalk high availability and performance. The session covered ways to set-up a BizTalk solution in a production environment that can scale to meet demand and not suffer downtime. Also discussed was the design of physical and logical infrastructure as well as performance recommendations to increase throughput and reduce latency. The discussion was led by Andrew Babiec, project manager and technical architect at Tallan, Inc.

November User Group Meeting and Holiday Networking Event
An ESB is one of many building blocks that make up a comprehensive Service Oriented Architecture(SOA) infrastructure. The messaging capabilities required extend the functions of traditional Enterprise Application Integration (EAI) to include best in class support for Web Service standards and integration with other service infrastructure components are critical areas of interest for the agile enterprise.

The BizTalk User’s Group of New England welcomed Microsoft Regional Program Manager for BizTalk Server, Tom Stickle, to lead this discussion of:

  • What is an ESB?
  • Microsoft ESB Guidance Overview
  • Demo of BizTalk ESB Capabilities
We also celebrated with our second annual BTUG holiday wine tasting and gathered user feedback on plans for next year.
